Brazil forward Robinho has arrived in Italy and will sign with AC Milan if the seven-time European champions let go of Marco Borriello, news reports said.

Robinho landed at Milan's Malpensa airport Tuesday and underwent medical tests with Milan pending his possible transfer from Manchester City, the ANSA news agency reported.

"I hope to meet my new teammates and win the championships with them,'' ANSA quoted Robinho as saying outside the hospital. "I'm very happy. Milan is an excellent club.''
He will become Milan's second major signing in four days after Zlatan Ibrahimovic transferred from Barcelona on Saturday.

Juventus was interested in Borriello but the Turin club's general director Giuseppe Marotta said Tuesday that it had dropped its bid for the forward. It was unclear if any other clubs would make a move for Borriello.
