Rwanda's U-20 side coached by Ghana's Selas Tettehvi Tetteh joined Uganda in the semi-finals of the on-going Cecafa Youth Championship in Asmara, Eritrea.
Rwanda beat guest side Yemen 1-0 on Friday night (Faustin Usengimana goal) and were boosted by a 3-1 thrashing of Zanzibar by Uganda. Rwanda’s threat for the semi-final berth was Zanzibar, after Uganda had earlier made sure of place following two consecutive wins.

The first semi-final will be played on Wednesday, while the second one will be played on Thursday at the Asmara National Stadium. The tournament sponsored by the Eritrean government will see the best three teams bag cash prizes and medals. “We are happy with the way the tournament is getting on and the level of organization by the hosts,” said Cecafa Secretary General Nicholas Musonye.
