AC Milan today responded to speculation that Brazilian duo Ronaldinho and Thiago Silva could leave the San Siro this summer by insisting they were "absolutely non-transferable".

Former FIFA World Player of the Year Ronaldinho has been linked with a move to the United States to join the Los Angeles Galaxy, while Thiago Silva's agent has suggested there is a possibility he could leave Milan to join Real Madrid.

However, Milan released a short statement which appeared to definitively rule out either player leaving. It read: "AC Milan again confirms the absolute non-transferability of their players Ronaldinho and Thiago Silva."

Ronaldinho's agent Roberto De Assis followed up Milan's message by stating: "He is happy with the Rossoneri and will remain at Milan. I have not got any offer from abroad.

"However, should one arrive, the club have announced that the player is non-transferable and for us it's okay. He is happy in Milan, and so is everybody else involved."
