Olympique Marseille have won the first French trophy of the season, beating PSG in the annual Super Cup clash.
The match was played at the Stade du 7 Novembre in the Tunisian town of Rades, with 55,000 fans having gathered to watch the first competitive French game of the year.
No goals were scored in regular time and in extra time, and a penalty shoot-out was needed to decide whether Ligue 1 champions Marseille or Coupe de France winners Paris Saint-Germain were to lift the trophy.
In the shoot-out, Marseille showed a little more precision and hit the target five times, against four from PSG.
The trophy, officially known as the Trophee des champions, had been won by Marseille once before, in 1971. At the time, they shared the victory with Rennes as no single winner was declared.
