    “How not to write about Africa” is a satire piece by Kenyan born and raised and New York-based author and an award-winning journalist, Binyavanga Wainaina. Binyavanga is currently a Bard Fellow and Director at the Chinua Achebe Center for African Literature and Languages in Bard College.

    How not to write about Africa has become Binyavanga’s most important work and is pursued to promote the Africa that most often is not embraced.

    The impact from this profound piece has caught the attention of Benin born actor and model, Djimon Gaston Hounsou. This satire piece has awakened different opinions and some controversies along the way.

    hilarious stuff, good reads, I swear East Africans have a way of writing, this piece reminds me of a Djibouti author's book UNITED STATES OF AFRICA, it too was satirical like this...glad to hear Hounsou is involved
