John Mensah all but ended his charitable tour nationwide with donations to orphanages and premier league side, AshantiGold in Obuasi.
The Black Stars defender prior to visiting the football team donated cash and food items to two orphanages in Obuasi estimated at 5,000 Ghana Cedis.
The Abdullahi Orphanage, which benefits annually from the Ghana international, was given 2,000 Ghana cedis with the Home of Sympathy receiving a similar amount.
Mensah, continued his tour which took him to the grounds of AshantiGold where he presented four sets of jerseys and fourteen pairs of boots to the team to motivate their efforts ahead of the start of the new season.
A cash component of 2,000 Ghana cedis was also presented to the players and club officials while the club's CEO Kudjoe Fianoo and coach David Duncan received designer watches for leading the club to finish second in the Glo Premier League last season.
The contributions come after Monday’s tour in the northern capital of Tamale where two homes and a health clinic benefited from donations estimated to be worth $30,000 by the player.
Last week, a home, Countryside Orphanage in the Central Region town of Bawjiase received a $3,000 donation from John Mensah.
