The high point of this years entertainment calendar was the ONE8 project which saw Ghana's music trio, 4X4 flying to the US to meet other African acts including 2Face from Nigeria to record with music heavy weight, Robert Kelly widely known as R. Kelly.

The project culminated in the release of Hands Across the World a song aimed at projecting Airtel who were rebranding from Zain.

I have always asked this question, what role did 4X4, made up Captain Planet, Abortion and Fresh Prince, play in the song and did they sing at all?

Listening to the song carefully one could hear the voice and lines of only R. Kelly, 2Face, Ali Kiba, Amani and Navio.

The video shows all artistes on the project singing their parts with our own 4X4 just singing along.

The question here is, why fly them all the way to the US if they are not capable of writing their own lines or singing their own lines? If their voices or styles does not match the song, why fly them there?

The buzz and fuzz about 4X4 flying to the US to record a song with the R. Kelly and other African artistes must be stopped because if Ghanaian artistes must be projected, they must be projected to the fullest.
