Ghanaian actresses Nadia Buari and Jackie Appiah who are perceived to be at loggerheads, last Sunday December 5, 2010 put all those perception to rest when Nadia led a number of movie industry players, family and friends to surprise Jackie on her birthday.

Jackie who had no idea such surprise had been planned for her walked into a hall full of her family members and several Ghanaian celebrities who were waiting to sing her a happy birthday song at the plush Holiday Inn Hotel at Airport in Accra on Sunday evening.

Jackie, who was lured by her husband, Peter Agyeman, to have a private romantic dinner with him at the hotel, opened the door only to meet co-actress Nadia Buari welcoming her into a well-decorated hall with ribbons, balloons, a birthday cake, food, wine and a lot of familiar faces.

Jackie could not help but scream and passionately hug Nadia with countless emotions running through her mind. She kept asking “who did this to me and how did you get all these people here?

Guest present included: Fadda Dickson,Kalsoum Sinare, Shirley Frimpong Manso, Ken Attoh, Juliet Ibrahim, John Dumelo, Majid Michel, Slim Buster, Adjetey Annan, Samini, Jackie’s mother, Damien Agyeman (Jackie’ son), Fred Nuamah, Samira Yakubu, Jackie’s Aunties among others.

Nadia and Jackie interacted well on the night contrary to perceived tension between them. The two, who are both Glo Ambassadors, both starred in “Mummy’s Daughter” as step-sisters in 2006; they also starred in “Beyonce” as rivals in 2007, and then in “The King is Mine” as sisters.

They also starred in "Heart of Men" in 2009. So for all those who thought these two sweet Ghanaian actresses do not see eye to eye, check them out.
