Rwanda’s tactician Sellas Tetteh has dropped skipper Olivier Karekezi ahead of the tricky away game against Didier Drogba’s Ivory Coast in a group H clash of the 2012 Orange CAF Africa Nations Cup qualifier.
The Ghanaian born coach kept to his word by only calling two professional players Saddou Boubakary and Louis Aniweta to link up with the home based players and prepare for the game.

Karekezi, who features for Osters IF in the Swedish second has not been very active and has also not performed so well in the national jersey in recent outings.
Boubakary plays for Oman’s first division side Al Nahda Sports Club while Aniweta has been dominating headlines in Cyprus with Nea Salamina Famagusta.

Tetteh believes that Aniweta is a perfect replacement for Jean Baptist Mugiraneza who
will miss the September 4 qualifier because of professional trials at Bundesliga side FC Koln.
The professional pair is now expected to link up with a field of 25 local based players who are already undergoing non-residential training.

Besides Karekezi, the other of the high profile professionals over looked include; Patrick Mafisango (Azam, Tanzania), Hamad Ndikumana (AEL Limassol, Cyprus), Saidi Makasi (Difaa El Jadida) and Aloua Gaseruka (El Merreikh, Sudan)

The Amavubi will leave for Yamoussoukro, Ivory Coast on September 2, two days before the crunch tie.
