The Ghana Football Association is in the process of luring Kotoko's Ivorian striker and reigning Best Player of the 2010/2011 GLO premiership Ahmed Toure to switch his nationality. Toure was reported to have stated elsewhere that he was ready to naturalize as a Ghanaian in order to play for the Black Stars.

The FA is working frantically to secure the necessary documentation to facilitate the switch.

Ahmed Toure added another memento to the PLB Best Player Award he won a few days ago when he emerged the MTN FA Cup Best Player.

The Asante Kotoko forward towered above Heart of Lions’ Gladson Awako, and FC Nania duo of Lawrence Lartey and Prince Baffoe to pick the flagship prize at the Movenpick Hotel in Accra last Sunday.

He took home a silverware for his exploits despite joining the elite league midway.
