Scores of filmmakers – particularly actors, producers and directors – would be expected to show solidarity today, as they head to North Suntreso in Kumasi to mourn actress Vivian Jill Lawrence.

The pretty, light-skinned actress, who became widely known as Ama Ghana following her featuring in a film by that name, would by laying to rest her mother, Madam Akosua Acheampomaa, who passed away on May 5, this year.

The deceased, 62, would be laid in state at her residence, near the S.K. Bruku Street at North Suntreso in Kumasi in the morning, after which the body would be sent to Kwabre Ankaase, her hometown, for interment.

The funeral rites would commence immediately in the afternoon at the popular Presby Park at Bantama in Kumasi, where sympathizers and well-wishers would flock today and tomorrow to mourn with the deceased’s family.

Vivian, alongside her two other siblings – Nii and Odar – told Spectator Agoro they were moved by the love, goodwill and support they have enjoyed so far from the public in mourning their mum, particularly during the one-week celebration.

They, therefore, called for similar support today, as they finally lay her to rest.
