Saturday said government was committed to ensuring that all Ghanaians

He said these would help them to unearth their talents for
personal enhancement of their lives and a speedy advancement of the
economy.

The President was inaugurating educational infrastructure
including, a dinning hall, kitchen, three and six unit class room
blocks, and a girl’s dormitory for the Zebilla Senior High School in
the Upper East Region.

He said if the human resource of the country is properly
developed it would enhance development and move the country’s fortunes
higher.

President Mills asked the school authorities to maintain the
facilities so that they could last long.

The President was on the second day of his three-day working
visit to the Region to acquaint himself with development projects
being executed by government.

The Headmistress of the school, Madam Kate Nbun, thanked the
government for providing the infrastructure and means of transport.
She appealed for staff accommodation to enable tutors stay at the
school and the building of a fence wall around the compound to keep
encroachers off.

Mr Cletus Avoka, Majority leader of Parliament and Member of
Parliament for Zebilla constituency, said the school started as a
model school with few structures but could now boast of good
facilities that could accommodate more students.

He said the current student population of 1,019 was due to peace
in the area that attracted school children from Bawku area, where
there was recurring conflict.
