The General Overseer of the Action Chapel International, Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, has called on Ghanaians and the business community to pray for the sustenance of peace before and after the Supreme Court rules on the election petition.

Archbishop Nicholas Duncan Williams made this call when he met with some private sector businessmen and women at a breakfast prayer meeting in Accra.

Speaking to the participants, the Archbishop emphasized the need for intercessory prayers saying it is the only way to maintain the peace of the country.

He explained that regardless of how good one's idea is, "if we don't intercede for this country, there is no guarantee that there will be peace and deliverance for our loved ones and future generations if anything goes wrong" because there is no "other way that the peace of the nation can be maintained and secured without intercession. We need prayers at this stage."

"We have seen mighty men like Dr. Kwame Nkrumah and others rise with great ideas, but they could not finish their course, and they left the scene prematurely. Without the prayer of Abraham for Sodom and Gomorrah, Lot and his children will not have survived," he added.
