The Cameroon Minister of sports and physical education, Adoum Garoua has suspended Denis Lavagne from his duties as coach of the indomitable lions. This suspension comes barely five days after Cameroon’s humiliating 2-0 defeat by Cape Verde last weekend in the final round of the 2013 Africa cup of nations qualifiers. Lavagne who has been dropped like a hot potato will be receiving his salary till the end of his contract next month. He has been replaced by Cameroon born Jean Paul Akono who will be assisted by Martin Ntoungou Mpile. The causes of Lavagne’s dismissal are yet to be specified.
