Just when many Ghanaians believe the doors to the Black Stars had been shut to Kevin Prince Boateng due to recent pronouncements by the player, his close pal, Andre Dede Ayew, has hinted of his possible return to the national setup.

Ayew said it would take sometime and a bit of persuasion to get the AC Milan player back, but he was confident the German-born Ghana star would definitely rescind his decision to retire from the Black Stars.

The 22-year old Marseille midfielder told the Graphic Sports an exclusive interview that from his private conversation with the AC Milan star, he picked signals which suggest Boateng was open to negotiation for a return.

“We’ve had discussions but we need to give him time, and people should be calm because I know and believe that we would see him in the Black Stars soon”, Dede stated, adding he was doing his best as a friend to convince Boateng to return.

Dede, who was joining the national team for the first time since the African Nations Cup in last year after undergoing surgery on his shoulder blamed the constant public criticism of the player as having informed that decision to quit international duties.

“People say a lot of stuff about him but they don’t know him very well, and it is due to such things that he has not returned to the Black Stars”. “He should that he should be given sometime to make his own decision”.

The son of the legendary Abedi Pele, Ayew described Michael Essien’s move to Real Madrid as fantastic and said he hoped Essien’s season would be without injuries so he could join in the Black Stars campaign in the 2013 Nations Cup.

The 2009 U-20 World Cup winning skipper said the duo of Michael and Boateng are a must-have players on any coach's wish list, and since the Black Stars needed to win trophies, the services of these players could not be discarded.
