Head coaches of World and African champions, Vicente de Bosque Gonzalez and Hassan Shehata respectively will be the special guests at the FIFA/CAF 2010 World Cup symposium that takes place from October 13-15 in Cairo, Egypt.

Del Bosque guided Spain to the ultimate at the South Africa 2010 FIFA World Cup beating Netherlands 1-0 in the final last July, whilst Shehata masterminded Egypt’s third successive triumph during the Angola 2010 Orange Africa Cup of Nations.
The two tacticians will share their experiences with participants at the two-day seminar.

The objective of the symposium is to provide a platform for the technical and tactical analysis of the tournament, staged on the African continent for the very first time, in relation to the development of football on the continent.

The symposium will also discuss the overall analysis of the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa in the areas of organization, stadiums, security, medical matters amongst others.

The fifty-three (53) National Associations affiliated to CAF will be represented by their head coach and Technical Directors.
CAF President Issa Hayatou will open the workshop on October 13, in the Egyptian capital.

Hosts South Africa plus five others; Ghana, Cameroon, Nigeria, Algeria and Cote d’Ivoire were Africa’s torchbearers at the tournament, with Ghana being the only team to advance past the group stage before bowing out on penalties to Uruguay at the quarter finals.

The FIFA/CAF World Cup Symposium is organized every four years to analyze the biggest football spectacle.
