The sensational gospel icon of our time Cecilia Marfo who is popularly known as “Afunumu Ba” is set to launch her foundation dubbed “Cecilia Marfo Foundation” on 18th December 2011 at the Tesano Baptist church near Peace FM at exactly 2 o’clock pm.

The foundation is aimed at taking Evangelism from across the country, preaching Christ to the lost, building the faith of Christians who are oppressed and also caring for the needy in our society.

Cecilia Marfo’s life is a testimony to many Ghanaians, especially, the underground musicians who are seeking for a breakthrough in their chosen career. Cecilia Marfo ever since she broke into the lime light has never ceased witnessing and proclaiming what the Lord has done for her on any platform she had. It is by this reason that she has decided to now take it upon herself to spread the words of God through her evangelism outreach programs.

Speaking to Cecilia Marfo on this project, she had this to tell Flex newspaper. “The theme for my foundation is taken from 1st Timothy 3 vrs 1 which says, “This is a true saying, if a man desires the work for God, he desireth a good work”.

I could not close my eyes to sleep ever since God revealed to me to embark on this evangelism outreach. Thank God that He has made this come to reality. This is not my first time of going into evangelism as many people will tell you in the Ashanti Region, Kumasi and its environs, precisely.

I was very known for that even before I started music. So now that God has given me favor in the face of men and has also given me a testimony, I have to continue with the evangelism” Cecilia Marfo narrated.

“Cecilia Marfo`s Foundation will also care for the needy as it has already been doing for the past years. We have to spread our wings to those who will need our help. This is something I started some years back by going to orphanage homes with donations and taking care of many people. I hereby invite all and sundry to come and support this project both in cash and in prayers”.

The Cecilia Marfo Foundation is supported by most big men with the blessings of God in the country, her lovely husband Mr. Clement Yeboah Adupidie, the C.E.O of Star Oil Mischel Camp, Mr. Emmanuel Garti who is also the Patron of the Executive Board for Cecilia Marfo Foundation, Hon. Kwame Kyei (CEO of Unity oil Kumasi), Tobinco, The boss of Zoom Lion and many more.

The Cecilia Marfo Foundation launch will also see lots of gospel stars such as DSP Kofi Sarpong, Ernest Opoku, Gifty Osei, Uncle Atto, Nana Akosa among others. Flex newspaper will update you on this project.
