Daddy Lumba’s music is hugely adored by females who form the core of his music fans in the country and beyond. Because of the enormous support he usually receives from females, he has been tagged ‘Emaa Kwadwo’, to wit ‘ladies man Kwadwo.’ His detractors have read meanings into the term that he is the number one womanizer in the country. But reacting to this assertion at a press conference in Kumasi last Saturday, Daddy Lumba said he had never flouted his wedding vows. He stated that he loved his wedded wife for 25 years and would not stoop so low by having an affair. Lumba disclosed that despite his fame, he had managed to continue to be the shy person he had always been since childhood. According to the musician, he was always indoors with his wife and children, stressing that he hardly went out alone.

Lumba noted that his family, especially his wife and children, meant so much to him and he would never engage in acts that could create problems in his home. He disclosed that he would be moving from his German base to settle in Ghana permanently next year. The ace musician who is a big time farmer, said he intended to buy more farm lands to expand his existing 50-acre ginger and palm-nut farm at Nkawie.
The honorary title of Prodigy of Contemporary Highliife Music was recently bestowed on Lumba by the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA).
