Accra, Nov. 29, GNA – Lufthansa would be resuming its service to Shenyang and launching a new route to Quindao from March 2012 with an Airbus A340 taking off from Frankfurt to Shenyang, a key industrial centre in northeastern China.

This was contained in a statement signed by Kay Kratky a member of the Lufthansa German Airlines Board and released to the GNA on Monday.

The statement said the flight will then continue onwards to Quindao in Shandong Province, connecting the port city on the yellow sea to Lufthansa's global route for the first time.

It said this means that travellers from Ghana to China will have more destinations to choose.

The statement said “China is and will remain one of the key growth markets for Lufthansa, adding that the airline offers one of the widest choices of flight options to China from any of the European airlines”.

It said with the resumption of our service to Shenyang and the opening of the new route to Qingdao, we are underlining our position and offering our customers a total of 55 flights per week to six destinations in China.

It's a good and strategic business decision by Lufthansa... It will definitely pay off for them.
