Nollywood diva Uche Jombo was the centre of attraction on Thursday, November 3, 2011 at the Surulere branch of Intercontinental Bank, Nollywood reports claim.

Onlinenigeria.com entertainment magazine said Uche was caught shouting at the top of her voice in the banking hall.

Her reason was that she wanted to close her four accounts and wanted to be paid for damages. She was yelling so much that everyone at the bank looked at her in amazement.

The site’s sources said Uche decided to close the accounts because of bad service with her Visa card.

“We learnt that she was recently in the States to shoot the concluding part of the ‘Damage’ trilogy and ran out of cash because the bank messed up her forex account. The poor customer service got her pissed off and decided to close her four accounts,” onlinenigeria.com reported.

Uche and the bank have so far not commented on the issue.

The controversial actress, one of the Nollywood’s best, is noted for speaking her mind.

Uche’s three years of secondary school education was paid for by an acting scholarship. In the United Church of Christ where she worshipped, there was a drama group called ‘Children of God’ which was meant for teenagers.

During her teenage days, she was ‘a total tom boy’, so to keep her off the streets, climbing trees and playing football with the boys, her mother had to register her in that drama group.

Despite her late father’s warning that she should not venture into professional acting, a ‘very stubborn’ Ucheobi Jessica Jombo damned all consequence and gave her body and soul to Nollywood.

It was interesting how she made an entry into acting. She was only going to deliver a letter to one Fidelis Duker’s office, organisers of Reel Awards, who were then auditioning to start a soap opera, when she virtually walked into gold. She was her asked to join the audition. Her talent shocked Fidelis Duker, who immediately gave her the role and that was her breakthrough.

From a humble beginning, Jombo has risen to the top of her career with a lot of movies to her credit. Interestingly, Jombo is also a producer

If this uproar is true, this will not be a bright spot on Miss Jumbo's public image. It is quite annoying sometimes dealing with the banks but she should have been a bit cautious with her outburst as a public figure.
